Swim Teacher CourseThe Swim Teacher course will consist of the following components: 1. Online Learning and Assessment Tasks:
Once enrolled you will be provided with login details to complete the online learning components prior to attending the practical session.
2. Practical Assessment:
This will be led by our trainer who will take you through the theory content of the course as well as assess the practical components.
3. 20 Hours Work Experience Placement Program:
To bridge the gap between the Swimming and Water Safety Teacher course and employment, participants will be provided a work experience placement at their local BlueFit facility. In this unpaid work experience placement participants will gain important job skills and knowledge that will enhance their chance of employment. The placement will involve completing 20 hours of in-water training where you will shadow a qualified trainer and be required to log these sessions in a logbook that will be provided to you.
Upon the successful completion of all assessment tasks, you will receive an SISSS00132 Swimming and Water Safety Teacher skill set statement of attainment, Nationally Recognised Training qualification issued by Southern Education (RTO 41402).
Please note that you have NOT completed the course or met the skill set requirements until you have successfully completed the online, face to face practical assessment and 20 hours placement components.
