The classroom is located in the old games room of the Katoomba Town Centre Motel
Parking: NO Parking on Premises. Please park on the surrounding streets.
Course Hours:
9.00 am - 5.00 pm daily
This nationally accredited course is valid for 3 years. SISSS00126 - Wilderness First Aid Skillset
The CPR component is valid for 1 year
Once you have enrolled you will be required to
1. make payment for the course either online or through bank transfer
2. complete the online pre course work material (you will be emailed your login details for this approximately 2 weeks prior to the face to face training)

Course information
DESCRIPTION
The course is designed for those who work in the wilderness tourist / education industry in a leadership capacity or who are preparing to do so and require the skills and knowledge to provide advanced first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders and provide first aid to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation until the arrival of medical or other assistance. It is intended for those wishing to provide first aid in remote areas.

ACCREDITATION
The following Skill Set has been identified through consultation with the Outdoor Council of Australia (OCA), the peak body for the Outdoor Recreation industry and will be utilised as the basis for the registration requirements of programs like the National Outdoor Leader Registration Scheme (NOLRS). This course is also known as Remote Area First Aid which course satisfies the Code of Practice . First Aid in the Workplace and NSW Adventure Activity Standards.

There are no stated prerequisites for this course but you are required to
.complete the online training prior to commencement of the course.
