Extension applications available. This training provides Fire Protection Technicians with the certificates to assist in following the pathway to the .Qualified Accreditation. under FPAS and FSA. Units CPPFES2047 Inspect and test control and indicating equipment (Release 1) and CPPFES2029 Conduct functional tests on fire detection, warning, and intercommunication devices (Release 1), are recognised throughout Australia by industry bodies, employers, accreditation schemes, and licencing applications. CPPFES2047 Inspect and test control and indicating equipment: This unit of competency supports fire protection technicians responsible for inspecting control and indicating equipment (CIE) and routinely testing their operational functions to ensure that fire alarm systems are working as intended. CPPFES2029 Conduct functional tests on fire detection, warning, and intercommunication devices: This unit of competency supports fire protection technicians responsible for functional testing of electrical fire protection systems. Individuals operate within the scope of their defined roles and responsibilities and perform the functional tests as part of their work duties and according to work procedures and Australian standards to verify that equipment functions as intended. Payment not required when enrolling; we will contact enrolee and email an invoice a month befpre training. Payment of the invoice per student is required to secure placement and commence training with the online component of your course. Service technicians are not permitted to undertake any installation, replacement, maintenance, and repair functions restricted to licensed trades or occupations (subject to relevant state and territory regulations). Different states and territories may have regulatory mechanisms that apply to these units. Students are advised to check for regulatory limitations.
