These units describe the skills and knowledge required to:
operate a skid steer loader to load, haul and distribute materials.
operate a backhoe/loader to load, distribute and place materials.
operate excavator operations to lift carry and place materials.
conduct wheeled front end loader operations
These units apply to those working in site- based roles.
Where equipment being assessed requires the fitting and removal of attachments to be demonstrated an integrated tool carrier unit should be used.
These units alone do not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisted by someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and Unload Plant or equivalent.
