You are about to book participants in a 04 BASIC WORKSITE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT & TRAFFIC CONTROL course.

The Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) & Traffic Controller (TC) course is suitable for anyone required to work on, or near Western Australian roads, who are required to read, interpret, implement traffic management plans, handle and erect traffic management signs and devices and control traffic with a stop/slow bat.

The BWTM-TC is a three (3) day course, which is delivered face to face with an emphasis on practical training and assessment. It covers the three units below -

(RIIWHS302E) Implement a traffic management plan
(RIIWHS205E) Control traffic with a stop/slow bat
(RIICOM201E) Communicate in the workplace

PRE-REQUISITES

Participants require the following:

-Construction Induction (White Card) or Safety Awareness Training (Blue card) or equivalent.
-Provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number
-Currently hold or have previously held an Australian or Recognised drivers. licence (must provide evidence of this)

**If you do not hold a Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card) you will also need to enrol in a White Card course on the same day as your Traffic Management (TM) Course as this can be delivered in conjunction with the TM training.** see the course callendar for link.

Entrants require a good level of physical fitness and health as training will involve:
Lifting/moving signs and devices (approximately 6-8kgs each)
Setting up/packing down sites

Participants require a level of language, literacy and numeracy skills to enable them to meet the requirements of the course, at a minimum the ability to:
Comply with written and verbal reporting requirements and procedures
Communicate clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructions
Identify and select appropriate traffic guidance scheme and implement traffic management plans
Apply legislative requirements
Describe the effects of travel speed and vehicle mass on stopping distances
Clearly communicate on a hand held radio

You hold the required course pre-requisites (where applicable) and will provide evidence of these for verification. Failure to supply evidence may result in training being rescheduled or accreditations unable to be issued.

The students name is spelt correctly as per their Unique Student Identifier (USI). All certification and accreditations will be issued using this spelling. Any accreditations that require an amendment may incur a replacement fee.
