You are about to book participants in a WORKSITE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT course.

This Main Roads WA Accreditation Course provides participants with the theory and practical skills required to monitor the effectiveness of traffic guidance schemes including adding and/or removing signs and devices within the scope and objectives of the Traffic Management Plan.
This course is aimed at personnel in a Supervisory role, who are required to carry out risk management processes and includes the following national unit of competency RIIRIS402E - Carry out the risk management process
The WTM is a four (4) day course, which is delivered face to face. Some post course work may be required.
ALL LEARNERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC IDENTIFICATION UPON ARRIVING FOR THEIR COURSE.
Participants will need to meet the following:
. Hold the WorkSafe Construction Safety Awareness Card (White or Blue card)
. Provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) . Create or find your USI Here
. Provide evidence of current / previous valid Australian Driver.s Licence - minimum probationary.
Entrants will need to have good level of physical fitness and health as training will involve:
. Lifting/moving signs and devices (approximately 6-8kgs each)
. Setting up/packing down sites
. Standing for period of up to 2 hours
Participants will need a level of language, literacy and numeracy skills to enable them to meet the requirements of the course, at a minimum the ability to:
. Comply with written and verbal reporting requirements and procedures
. Communicate clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructions
. Identify and select appropriate traffic guidance scheme and implement traffic management plans
. Apply legislative requirements
. Describe the effects of travel speed and vehicle mass on stopping distances
. Clearly communicate on a hand held radio
MANDATORY PRE-REQUISITES (must be submitted prior to the course)
1) Main Roads WA Certificate of Accreditation . Basic Worksite Traffic Management (minimum)
2) Statements of Attainment (minimum) for:
. RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and work procedures.
. RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace.
. RIIWHS302E Implement a traffic management plan accreditation
**NOTE: If you are unable to provide the above Statements of Attainment, you must then provide an extract from your USI account verifying that you have completed these units.
3) One (1) years. experience in traffic management, road asset management, road safety or two (2) years practical experience in road construction or maintenance.
4) CV or similar providing details of practical experience e.g. employer, job role, type of work undertaken, dates, etc.
5) A completed SWMS used on a worksite you have signed.
6) List a minimum of three worksites where you have undertaken traffic management duties in the previous 12 months (e.g. setting up signs/devices, controlling traffic, pedestrian management, etc.)

The student.s name is spelt correctly as per their Unique Student Identifier (USI). All certification and accreditations will be issued using this spelling. Any accreditations that require an amendment may incur a replacement fee.
