You are about to book participants in a 09 AWTM - ADVANCED WORKSITE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT (5 Days) course.

This Main Roads WA Accreditation Course provides participants with the theory and practical skills required to design and prepare detailed Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes.. Including those in accordance with and up to the planning level specified in AS1742.3 Part 3 . 2019 and the AGTTM. .
This level of Main Roads WA accreditation is suited to Traffic Planners, Project Managers, Approving Officers and Traffic Managers.
The AWTM is a five (5) day course, which is delivered face to face. Some post course work may be required.
To gain the Main Roads WA Advanced Worksite Traffic Management accreditation you must successfully complete the following units -
RIICWD503E Prepare workzone traffic management plan and
RIIRIS402E Carry out the risk management process.
Student Requirements:
Laptop or similar with Microsoft Word uploaded. Free Wifi available.
Planning software uploaded to their device an advantage - We use Rapidplan. Contact us for information on purchasing student subscriptions for Rapidplan.

Days 1 - 5 7am . 3pm
PRE-REQUISITES
All learners will be required to provide photographic identification upon arriving for their course such as
current / previous valid Australian or Recognised Driver.s Licence or Passport or other.
Participants require the following:
-WorkSafe Construction Safety Awareness Card (White or Blue card)
-Unique Student Identifier (USI)
-MAIN ROADS WA CERTIFICATE OF ACCREDITATION . Basic Worksite Traffic Management
-STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT or USI TRANSCRIPT for:
RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and work procedures (optional)
RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace.
RIIWHS302E Implement a traffic management plan accreditation
-1 years. experience in traffic management, road asset management, road safety, road design, road construction or road maintenance
-CV or similar providing details of practical experience e.g. employer, job role, type of work undertaken, dates, etc.
OR
-A letter or third party report from your employer detailing the type of work you have performed;
AND
-List a minimum of three worksites where you have undertaken traffic management duties in the previous 12 months (e.g. setting up signs/devices, controlling traffic, pedestrian management, etc.)
Participants require a level of language, literacy and numeracy skills to enable them to meet the requirements of the course, at a minimum the ability to:
Comply with written and verbal reporting requirements and procedures
Communicate clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructions
Identify and select appropriate traffic guidance scheme and implement traffic management plans
Apply legislative requirements
Describe the effects of travel speed and vehicle mass on stopping distances
