Operate a 4WD Vehicle - 1 day
Nationally recognised units of competency: RIIVEH305F Operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle + RIIVEH201E Operate a light vehicle
Face to Face including classroom and driving tasks.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle in the resources and infrastructure industries.
Learning Outcomes:
.Identify four-wheel drive specific terms, terminology and techniques
.Plan for minimal environmental impact
.Perform pre-departure checks
.Use four-wheel drive mode
.Coordinate and recover a vehicle
.Perform maintenance and minor repairs on four-wheel drive vehicles including operating a jack on unstable ground
Minimum requirements to complete this course include: Current drivers licence to operate a C Class vehicle in Queensland; closed in shoes; sun safe clothing; drinking water; ability to kneel down on the ground and perform basic manual tasks such as a pre start check.
Clients will need to provide 1 x 4WD Vehicle per organisation, that they would usually be using in the workplace.
This course has a day rate of $1600 per course for a minimum of four people. This cost may be shared across multiple organisations at the time of booking.
